There are three sub divisions within Glasgow Central and West Division:

Glasgow City Centre - This sub division includes the city centre of Glasgow, as well as the residential areas of Dundasvale, Townhead and the Merchant City.

Key locations include - George Square, a recognised focal point of the city.

Glasgow Anderston - This subdivision extends west of the city centre as far as Partick.

Key locations include - Kelvin Hall Sports Arena, the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre (SECC), the Museum of Transport and the Art Gallery and Museum at Kelvingrove.

Glasgow West End - This sub division covers the West End of Glasgow.

Key locations include - the University of Glasgow.
