There are four Sub Divisions within Glasgow East Division:

London Road - This sub division contains the communities of Calton, Bridgeton, Dalmarnock, Camlachie, Dennistoun and Haghill.

Key locations include - The Forge Shopping Centre and Cinema complex , Celtic, the Barras Market and Glasgow Green.

Shettleston - This sub division includes areas such as Ballieston, Garrowhill and Mount Vernon.

Key locations include - the International Sporting Arena at Tollcross, Parkhead Psychiatric Hospital and the Forge Market.

Baird Street - This sub division includes Springburn, Sighthill, Barmulloch, Balornock, Royston, Blackhill, Cowlairs, Balgrayhill, Germiston, Robroyston and Millerston.

Key locations include - Stobhill Hospital

Easterhouse - There are 16 distinct communities in the 6.5 square miles of this sub division. Only two of these communities, Riddrie and Swinton, lie outside the Greater Easterhouse area.

Key locations include - HMP Barlinnie, Glasgow Fort retail and leisure facility, and John Wheatley College.
