There are four Sub Divisions within North Lanarkshire Division:
Monklands - This sub division includes Coatbridge and Airdrie, including their outlying villages
Key locations include - Monklands District General Hospital, Drumpellier Country Park, Coatbridge Container Base, Shyberry Excelsior Football Stadium (Airdrie United), Cliftonhill Football Stadium (Albion Rovers), Airdrie Sheriff Court, and Dalmacoulter Service Reservoir.
Cumbernauld and Kilsyth - This sub division contains the towns of Cumbernauld, Kilsyth, Moodiesburn, Muirhead and Chryston. It is intersected by the A80, one of the busiest and most problematic arterial roads in the country.
Key locations include - Broadwood Stadium, home of Clyde Football Club.
Bellshill - This sub division covers the population centres of Belshill, Newharthill, Viewpark and Holytown. Geographically, this is the smallest of the four sub divisions.
Motherwell and Wishaw - This sub division stretches from Motherwell in the west to Harthill and the boundary with Lothian and Borders Police in the east, and includes Shotts, Newmains and other outlying villages.
Key locations include - Strathclyde Country Park, Wishaw General Hospital, HMP Shotts, Hartwell Hospital, Fir Park Football Stadium (Motherwell), and M & D's Scotland's Theme Park.
