Drug Rape

drug rape drink Drug-assisted sexual assault, or drug rape as it is more commonly known, occurs when someone gives you a drug - against your wishes or knowledge - in order to disorientate or incapacitate you so that they can carry out a sexual assault.

Reported instances of drug rape within the Strathclyde area are few, but all reports are investigated sympathetically, confidentially and diligently.

Anyone - male or female - can be a victim and it can leave the same scars as any assault - physical, emotional and psychological. However, you can take appropriate steps to ensure that it doesn't happen to you.
