Racist and Homophobic Incidents

Strathclyde Police currently reviews statistics in relation to crimes and incidents in order to allow us to monitor and address specific issues.

While the Force publishes in-depth information on crimes and other incidents in documents such as the Public Performance Report, the Force Diversity Unit deals specifically with matters affecting diversity issues and therefore the information specifically on racist and homophobic incidents is included here for ease of reference.

The information includes:

  • breakdowns of crimes involved
  • areas where the incidents happen
  • overall levels of occurrence.

This enables us to identify existing and emerging trends, and target our resources accordingly.

This information will be updated on a regular basis.
