Mountain Rescue Team Equipment

The team's vehicles include:

• a Mercedes Benz 4x4 Sprinter van
• a long wheelbase Landrover pick-up truck with a crew cab
  
  Both have four-wheel drive capability. As dedicated call-out vehicles they are permanently stocked with the equipment required should a call-out occur.
  
• an All Terrain Vehicle (ATV) which will go anywhere a Landrover won’t.

Other Equipment

Other equipment includes rescue stretchers, medical supplies (including oxygen and Entonox), ropes and specific winter ‘hardware’ to cope with ice and snow.

In addition, every officer is kitted out with mountaineering and first aid equipment – even avalanche transceivers and mountain rescue radios.
