Strathclyde Police Museum
The colourful and fascinating story of Strathclyde Police is told at the Force's Museum. Two hundred years of criminals, crime detection and changes in policing methods are represented through a diverse range of exhibits that serve to bring the history of the Force to life. Visitors can take a journey into the early days of policing through a unique collection of uniforms, badges and police equipment. The social history of crime in the Force area is also illustrated by many fascinating exhibits, including:
Moreover, the Museum contains many exhibits relating to forensic science, narcotics, communications and other important aspects of modern policing. In essence, the Museum tells the story of the Force's history from the beginning of the City of Glasgow Police in 1800 to the present day Strathclyde Police.
